Engagement Photos in a Movie Theater

When K + T reached out about potentially shooting their engagement photos at Plaza Theatre, I could not contain my excitement! I love this sweet little theater so much. I went to college at Georgia State and studied Film as my major (along with Photography and Sociology as my minors, side story is that I was already shooting still photography and thought I wanted to work in film). I learned back then that the Plaza was one of Atlanta’s oldest theaters and started to see special screenings of old films like The Shining when they showed. A decade later, it felt so kismet to shoot inside this beloved theater. I’ve photographed plenty on the outside, but getting to play indoors was magic. I shot a mix of digital and film for these and we had a blast!
